Amendment Four Vote No Surprise

United States Representative, Mel Hancock says Missouri voters have opened the door wide for future tax hikes. Kelly Just has the story from Jefferson city.

Representative Hancock says the passage of ammendment four will end Missouri's status as a low tax state.

The ballot issue lets state legislators increase taxes by 50 million dollars each year without a vote of the people.

Hancock says putting the ammendment on the ballot in April rather than November was no accident. He predicts Carnahan will use the issue as a major plank in his campaign for re-election.
