Missouri's bouquet of native flowers has two new additions: the long-bracted green orchid, with pale green blossoms, and Monkshood (MONKS hood), a small violet flower.
A Central-Missouri biologist, found the wild orchid on her family's property.
Mike Leahay is a community ecologist.
If you think the next new Missouri flower might be growing in your backyard, the Conservation Department recommends calling a regional Nature Center.
