Govenor Carnahan's spokesman says it appears the govenor will add a St. Louis sports commission to the special session call. Rebecca Sapakie has the story in Jefferson City.
The economic development bill being considered in the Senate creates a St. Louis sports commission to look at the future stadium needs of the baseball Cardinals.
Sports commission sponsor, Senator Bill McKenna calls it a proactive way to keep teams in town.
Opposed to McKenna is St. Louis County Senator Wayne Goode. He calls the commission premature and says taxpayers aren't interested in funding another stadium.
I'm Rebecca Sapakie at the Capitol.
