Customizing your telephone number with catchy endings could become possible, but at a cost in Jefferson City.
Jennifer Sheffield has the story.
Sprint has filed an application that will allow it to charge businesses 30 dollars and residents 20 dollars for vanity phone numbers.
Customers would pay only once, and could chose to pay an additional fee for listing the number.
One business owner, Pat Amick of Public Office Services, says having a memorable number is worth the extra money.
But there is a catch, you'd be charged the extra fee -- even if the phone company determined your requested four digit numbers were unavailable.
