One Missouri lawmaker would like to give voters a second chance at term limits.
Kurt Silver has the story from Jefferson City.
Voters approved term limits for Missouri lawmakers in 1992.
But St. Louis Representative O.L. Shelton says voters thought they were approving term limits for U.S. Congressmen.
Shelton is sponsoring a bill that would give Missouri voters a chance to repeal the term limits.
Springfield Representative Matt Blunt opposes the bill and says Missouri voters were not confused.
Blunt also says the measure will fail if it ever reaches the voters.
