House aimed at stopping domestic violence

The House spent more than two hours debating a bill aimed at curbing domestic violence before finally taking a vote. Stacy Covitz has the story from Jefferson City.

The House added more than a dozen amendments before giving initial approval to that bill.

Columbia Represenative Vicky Riback Wilson sponsored the bill.

She says it will bring domestic violence law into the 21st century.

Contents: The bill will increase stalking and harrassing to include electronic media. It will include answering machines, faxes and e-mails which are growing problems.
