JEFFERSON CITY - St. Louis City planned to count absentee votes of people who cast a ballot and then died before November 2nd.
Missouri law says election officials must remove those ballots if the officials know the voter has died.
St. Louis City Election Director James O'Toole says after learning about the law, officials will be careful in monitoring votes.

JEFFERSON CITY - The Missouri Supreme Court appears to have issued an unofficial moratorium on the death penalty.
On Oct. 29 it will be one-year since an execution has been fulfilled in this state.

JEFFERSON CITY - Bob Holden's order asks health-care providers to limit vaccinations to those who fall within the federal CDC guidelines -- primarily elderly and those chronic health problems.
Holden said that he does not have authority to enforce his request. But he warned that his office was concerning publically identifying health care providers who do not comply with the CDC standards.
