Hundreds rally to voice concern over Health Care

Pressure continues to build on the issue of health care cuts.

Amy Becker reports:

Over two hundred concerned citizens gathered in the rotunda at the state capitol Tuesday to discuss Medicaid cuts made in the last year.

Attorney General Jay Nixon says the government should be in the business of helping citizens become self-reliant and productive.

"Our government should not be giving out a handout but neither should we be kicking a person when he is down. Our goal should be to give a hand-up."

Republican Senator Charlie Shields agreed with Nixon, saying he wants to see reform to address and solve problems as they arise, instead of waiting until urgent care is needed.
