The Missouri House Republicans have split with their party's governor.
Hillari Duthoo (Doo-thoh) has that story from the Capitol.
In a break with the governor's original MOHELA proposal Thursday, House Republicans presented their own wish list.
The program republicans are calling "Access Missouri" articulates how they'd like to see the state's new found wealth spent.
But Columbia area Democratic Representative Jeff Harris says he is afraid that this new disagreement between the legislature and the governor will hurt Missouri students.
"I mean there looks like there is a real disagreement, almost a family feud, or a family fight between the republicans in the governor's office and the republicans in the legislature."
Democratic Representative Judy Baker says that currently, confusion reigns on the subject of MOHELA's future. Baker says she wants to see more financial officers, students, parents and stakeholders involved in the process.
