Brian Hauswirth (House-Worth), the Interim Communications Director for the Governor, says Missouri Rx replaced Senior Rx as the state's pharmacy program last January.
The program assists low-income seniors and disabled Missouri residents.
Hauswirth says under Senior Rx, the program only benefited 13,000 residents, but the new MoRx program now includes 158,000 Missourians.
He says the Department of Social Services has worked with pharmaceutical companies in order to help more people.
