New bill would treat anonymous for chlamydia

Intro: St. Louis city tops the country in chlamydia and gonorrhea  cases says national Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. A new bill presented in House committee Tuesday aims to curb the numbers.

Under the bill, women seeking treatment for chlamydia and gonorrhea would leave the doctor's office with a prescription for themselves, and prescription of antibiotics for their partner.

The catch?  Doctors would never meet the partner they are giving pills to, and O'Fallon Representative Cynthia Davis has a problem with that.

St. Louis County Representative Juanita Head Walton is sponsoring the bill and said Tennessee and Colorado already have similar laws.
