Tears and loud applause resounded as Attorney General Candidate Michael Gibbons gave his concession speech tonight.

Senator Gibbons said it was a tough election for Republicans and attributed his loss largely to the inability of the St. Louis and Kansas City margins to catch up.

Gibbons pledged his support to his opponent Chris Koster and said he already called to congratulate him. 

Senator Gibbons ended his speech with supporters shouting "We Like Mike".

He thanked the crowd for their gracious support and left the room with the words, "I'll see you later".
