Intro: Senate Approves Bill Giving Identity Theft Victims right to Credit "Security Freezes."

OutCue: SOC Victims of identity theft in Missouri may have one more tool in protecting themselves from credit fraud. The Missouri Senate approved a bill that will gives Missourians the right to a free security freeze of their credit score if they believe someone has hijacked their private information. The bill also gives consumers the right to file an incident report with local law enforcement.  Senator Mike Gibbons says this can bring Missouri in-step with most of the country.

Description:  I think about 47 states have some form of this provision in place, this just puts us in that league and gives consumers the ability to protect their identity and their credit when it is threatened.
 
The Bill now heads back to the House for acceptance of Senate Changes.
