Intro: Just days after the November election, Missouri's next governor already has a staff preparing for his eventual takeover as the state's top official.

Governor-elect Jay Nixon spokesperson Oren Shur says the new top statewide official is trying to gather a staff passionate about moving Missouri forward.

Description: The transition team and Governor-elect Nixon are focused on putting together an agenda, putting together an agenda, to turn this economy around, to fix the state's health care system, and to make college more affordable to families.

Nixon named former Vice President Al Gore's Chief of Staff as his tranisition team director.
