Palin Encourages Missouri Voters One Last Time

Intro: Thousands had already gathered on the lawn of the capitol hours before Sarah Palin was due to arrive for her rally in Jefferson City. The supporters waited patiently in the sun, dutifully waved their signs and finally erupted into feverish applause as the first female vice-presidential candidate began her descent down the Capitol stairs. Palin appeared as the everyday American, with jeans and a red blazer and toe tapping to Hank Williams Jr.'s music.

When the topic turned to issues, Palin focused on her and McCain's energy plan.

Description: John and I will set this country further on a path of energy independence. We're going to develop new energy sources and we'll tap into what we've got: the billions of barrels of oil, the hundreds of trillions of cubic feet of natural gas and our coal deposits. There is more coal in this free country than there is oil in Saudi Arabia. (applause).


Palin also promised to balance the federal budget by the end of the presidential term.

She also stressed Obama's plan of bigger government and higher taxes.

Palin ended her speech with a rally to the Missouri voters and people.

With tomorrow being the big day, Palin made sure to remind Missourians to vote and the importance of the state in the election's results.
