One of the first democratic-sponsored bills to make it out of the Missouri House would give certain veterans free metered parking in places that choose to adopt the measure.
But Eureka Democrat Michael Frame, himself a veteran, questioned whether free parking for veterans was worth the loss in revenue.

The bill's sponsor, Jamilah Nasheed of St. Louis City said that the bill would cost the state nothing but would help thank veterans for their service.
The bill passed 152-3 and will now move to the Senate.

Some veterans may spend less time looking for change after the Missouri House passed a bill giving free metered parking to certain veterans.
Dixon Republican David Days said he supported the bill because the measure is optional.
