Altough the speech lasted for over 40 minutes, some legislators cited a lack of specifics. Senator Tom Dempsey, a St. Louis County republican, said he wanted to hear more of an agenda from the governor as a guide for crafting his own legislation.

Actuality:  DEMPSEY3.WAV
Run Time: 00:18
Description: I've been waiting for the state of the state to find out the governor's idea, and to find out thwere there's agreement, and then where possibly, we have a difference of opinion. After listening to the State of the State I'm not clear where he wants to go on significantly reducing the uninsured.

Senator Dempsey said he is still planning on filing health care legislation.
