Wrap: Cape Girardeau Senator Jason Crowell proposed an amendment giving all representatives at the Missouri Statehouse a key to the Capitol Dome.

Crowell argued that he goes up to the Dome regularly in and out of session.

He listed a number of reasons why this would be a good idea.

Description: "That as a special constituent moment that you can take your constituents on a tour, that you can show them special aspects of their state Capitol, which happens to be something that I do for my constituents."

The commissioner of the Office of Administration currently holds the only the key to the dome and all legislators have to ask him to use it.

The Senate passed the amendment.
