Description: "You could have several thousand dollars of damages with carpet and walls and dry walling to be replaced and the paint that goes with it and all that." |
According to State Farm Insurance about 250,000 homes and businesses in the U.S. experience water damage from a frozen pipe every year.
Butler says to avoid these damages you can detach water hoses and store them indoors, cover your outdoor faucets, and if you leave town for a few days don't turn down the thermostat too low.
