Wrap: Working in groups of four, Missouri senators are going through hundreds of ideas in emails from citizens.

The emails came through a new state Senate program called, "Rebooting State Government."

The groups are focused on all parts of state spending ranging from education, to social programs, to transportation.

One senator proposed reducing the state's prison population by 2,000. That would allow the state to close a prison.

Each group has the task of coming up with five ideas to help make government more efficient.

Wrap: Missouri senators are working in small groups all over the state Capitol reading email submitted through the "Reboot State Government" program.

Eight groups of four senators each are scattered around the building go over citizens' proposal to make government more efficient.

The topics range from courts and public safety to retirement and social programs.

Each group will report five ideas they think are best to help state government improve.
