Under the resolution Nixon would not "make laws or choose to ignore laws that do not suit his political agenda."

This resolution comes after the Missouri Health Insurance Pool considered accepting a 21 million dollar grant from the federal government to implement President Obama's federal health care plan in Missouri.

But, spokesman for the governor's office Scott Holste says this resolution is unnecessary.

The resolution also would require the health insurance pool to follow recommendations from the Senate Interim Committee of Health Insurance Exchanges.

Democratic state senator Victor Callahan says he thinks some state health care plan is necessary.

But spokesman for the governor's office Scott Holste says he thinks this resolution is unnecessary.

Wrap: Republican State Senator Jim Lembke issued a resolution after a health insurance committee created by Nixon nearly accepted 21 million dollars in federal grants.

These grants would be used to implement Obama's federal healthcare plan in the state.

Spokesman for the governor's office Scott Holste says this resolution is unnecessary because the governor intends to work with the legislature.

The resolution urges the Missouri Health Insurance Pool to return the 21 million dollars to the federal government.
