Wrap: At 10:30 Wednesday morning the Senate was notified that Governor Jay Nixon signed the Senate dog-breeding bill, a repeal of voter-approved Proposition B restrictions.

And then at 6 p.m., the governor held a news conference to sign his own dog-breeding bill into law.

Some people, including fellow Democratic lawmakers, say the new laws take voters' voices away.

But Nixon disagrees... 

Nixon's new law will be enacted immediately through an emergency clause.

Wrap: After Governor Nixon signed the Senate dog-breeding bill, a repeal of Proposition B restrictions, on Wednesday morning, he signed his own dog-breeding legislation into law that night.

The Missouri Director of the U.S. Humane Society says that it's a slap in the face of Missouri voters, who approved Proposition B last November.

The governor says not only did Missouri voters play a huge role in sparking the debate, but statewide organizations did as well.

However, he says that Missouri didn't need help from any national organizations, such as the U.S. Humane Society, on this issue.

Through an emergency clause, Nixon's law will be enacted immediately.
