A late night Senate filibuster ends with changes to a worker discrimination bill on Thursday.
RunTime:  0:35
OutCue:  SOC

Wrap: The stand-off ended around 1:30 a.m.

The agreement removed summary judgement language from the bill, which would have required a judge, not a jury, to review facts in worker discrimination cases.

Democratic St. Louis Senator Maria Chappelle-Nadal led the filibuster.

Run Time:  00:08
Description: "What I was doing last night was really a strategic move so that we can talk about this issue at least one or two more times."

Republican Maryville Senator Brad Lager sponsors the bill. He says he is pleased with the changes.

The bill needs a second Senate vote before going to the House.

He says the agreement was necessary to move the bill forward but he says he needs involvement from Governor Nixon in order to pass the bill.
