Kander says the Election Integrity Unit is formalizing something his office has always done.

Actuality:  JASON1.WAV
Run Time:  00:11
Description: "When the unit receives credible complaints, it will investigate them, and work with local election authorities to resolve any issues. When appropriate, the unit will refer complaints to law enforcement."

Budget Chairman Senator Kurt Schaefer says he's not sure if Kander can set up an investigative program without legislative approval.

Kander says problems at the polls fall under his jurisdiction.

For now, Kander says his office can handle the number of complaints they're receiving without General Assembly funding.
