Wrap: Missouri's House Committee on Education passed a substitute to the Senate's education bill in a rush to get it to the House floor.

Democrat from St. Louis County Representative Genise Montecillo said the rush to get this bill to the floor would only hurt progress for improving the education problem in Missouri.

Wrap: Missouri's House Committee on Education recently passed a substitute version of the Senate's education bill aimed at assisting unaccredited school districts with transfers.

St. Louis County Democrat Representative Genise Montecillo had prepared another substitute measure that would deal with transfers only, but her proposal was not heard since the committee was rushing to completion.
