Lawmakers react to the shooting of two police officers in Ferguson

Description: Michael Brown's life mattered. Black lives matter. All lives matter. And today it is time for it to be said that officers' lives matter too.

Several other senators also spoke in support of the officers who were shot.

The shooting occured hours after the Ferguson police chief announced his resignation.

The two officers suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries.

They were released from the hospital.

The officers who were shot have been released from the hospital.
