That is how the 2015 Missouri Senate session began Wednesday afternoon as Lieutenant Governor Peter Kinder ordered officers to remove the protestors.

Protestors held signs such as "Swear to protect the people," and "Pledge allegiance to black people."
The Senate took a brief recess so the gallery could be cleared of protestors and senators family members.
