Description: What's in this bill is an opportunity to give members of labor organizations more information. It's an opportunity for them to give their consent to what their union leadership is dong, and if the people that roam these halls don't want their members to have that information so be it but they need to be honest with their members
Richardson was joined by other Republican representatives who said the bill gives laborers more information about where their union fees are going.

But others, like Kansas City Democrat John Rizzo, said the bill was anti-labor and would lead to a filibuster in the Senate as the session approaches close.

The House voted 109-47 to overturn the veto.

Description: And it's a shame that we have to keep attacking workers. For six years we've been attacking workers. Yes, attack. This is an attack on workers. This is an attack to weaken labor, weaken a person's right to organize to make decisions about their own paychecks.
But representative St. Joseph Republican Delus Johnson said the bill would grant union members greater control over their union leaders. 

The House voted to overturn the governors veto on the bill in a 109-47 vote.
