* SCS HCS HB 986 Sponsor:Barnes, Jay Status: GOVERNOR SIGNED Description: Create a task force to report on changing Medicaid. SA 2 prohibits health information organizations charging fees for exchanging clinical summaries for patients. The SCS contains a provision to fund First Steps for disabled that was to be funded by a bill vetoed by the governor. The HCS also extends the termination date of "Ticket to Work" that provides Medicaid for lower-income disabled workers and extends Medicaid for some orphans. Only Medicaid bill alive in the closing weeks of the legislative session. The SCS makes it a joint legislative committee on Medicaid.
