HB 2038 Sponsor:Wallingford, Wayne Status: H Perf Description: Require that a criminal defender under age 17 years and six months be placed under dual jurisdiction of the criminal and juvenile codes. Current law provides the court may, but is not required, to do so. Impose restrictions when a juvenile convicted of an adult offense can be kept out of an adult prison and placed in a Youth Services Division facility. Let the division refuse if there is not space available.
