Description:
Exempt from the sales tax farm products sold at farmers' markets. The final version would establish a pilot program to allow purchase of fresh agriculture products with Food Stamps and remove a ban Food Stamps for a drug felon for participation or completion in a drug-abuse treatment program. In his veto letter, the governor wrote this was one of several bills providing special interest tax breaks that would cost state and local government $776 million per year.
