SCS SB 613
Sponsor:
Nieves, Brian
Status:
H 3rd Read
Description:
Declare invalid any federal law or rule that infringes on Second Amendment constitutional rights for firearms. Make it a crime for a federal employee to enforce infringement of those rights. Let school districts designate teachers with special training to carry concealed weapons on school grounds. Require a federal agent notify the local sheriff before a federal warrant can be served. This bill is similar to HB 436 that the governor vetoed in 2013. Put aside for HB 1439 as the vehicle.

Note: The descriptions of bills, amendments and roll-call votes are written by MDN journalists. MDN's database may not include committee assignments of bills made on the last day of the session since it is too late for the committee to act on the bill and, thus, the delayed assignment has no practical effect.
