A bill submitted by Sen. Delbert Scott, R-Lowry City, would make it a class A misdemeanor to have a beer bong, alcohol in a gelatin form or a container holding more that one gallon of alcohol on Missouri rivers. The bill would also ban the distribution of beads commonly associated with Mardi Gras that are intended to cause fighting, nudity or obscene language.
Under the proposed legislation, the state would provide a free identification card to those who do not have one but does not address the costs of obtaining primary documents necessary for obtaining it. Sen. Delbert Scott, R-Lowry City, who is chairman of the committee and the legislation's sponsor, said that is one issue that could possibly change.
