The fund-raising lead enjoyed by Chris Koster during his Democratic primary campaign has dissipated since Koster became the Democratic nominee, besting challenger Margaret Donnelly by a narrow margin. Now, a Koster official said the campaign will appeal to Koster's broad base throughout the state to fuel the campaign further as it approaches Election Day.
"He was trying to hide information which should be public. The public is sick and tired of secret government, and Gov. Blunt has a lot to answer for for trying to keep his office shrouded in secrecy," said Rep. Margaret Donnelly, D-St. Louis County.

"Sen. Koster's decision to support the speaker raises real issues about his integrity and is something that just doesn't pass the smell test," said Rep. Margaret Donnelly, D-St. Louis County.
