JEFFERSON CITY - Hours after Rep. Mark Richardson announced that he will step down from his position as House Minority Leader because of a drunk driving and child endangerment arrest, the campaign for his successor began.
Within hours of Mark Richardson's resignation from the house minority floor leader position, three legislators announced their intention to fill the vacancy.
After an hour and a half of deliberations behind closed doors, the republican caucus emerged to say that Mark Richardson is still the Republican floor leader and that the caucus will reconvine at 9:15 this morning.
