Democrat Michael Corcoran from St. Louis debated with fellow Representative, Republican Allen Icet about the odds of increasing the $12 million allotted for the city's metro.
After Smith offered to attempt to amend the legislation to cover commercial drivers as well, Rep. Michael Corcoran, D-St. Ann, said, "Don't rewrite it on my count because I don't support your bill at all."
Richard spokeswoman Kristen Blanchard said Oxford was rejected because many other representatives were interested in serving on the committee. Blanchard said Richard appointed Rep. Michael Corcoran, D-St. Louis County, because of their friendship and Corcoran's experience.
Before the official vote, things on the floor became heated between Democratic St. Louis County Representative Michael Corcoran who spoke first and Perryille Republican Representative Steven Tilley.
