While consumers have used lemon laws to protect their cars for years, State Representative Tim Green now wants to protect computer owners in Missouri. Green's bill mandates that all new computers come with a 2 year warrantee to protect consumers.
The amendment sponsor, Rep. Tim Green, D-St. Louis County, said he wanted the money that would be eliminated from the system to be used to defer rising tuition costs for students. On the House side, Rep. Tim Green, D-St. Louis County, expressed similar sentiments, saying, "It doesn't matter if we lower the limit if they're not out there doing their job."
