St. Louis County Democrat Senator Tim Green says he would like to see results from economic developments centers before they receive more state funding.
"Nobody wants to see their program cut, but the state needs money to operate," said Sen. Tim Green, D-St. Louis County. Green asked many those providing testimony to suggest other areas where funding could be cut.

"We're getting on a slippery slope now that we're doing construction on community colleges as well," said Sen. Tim Green, D-St. Louis County.t is "becoming the state's responsibility."
