House Minority Leader Wayne Crump continued to push his proposal that would limit the people's initiative petition powers over the Conservation Department.

The plan, sponsored by Rep. Wayne Crump, D-Potosi, would require a two-thirds majority on initiative proposals relating to fish, wildlife and forest management. It passed 83-54.
Prop-B-proponents Rep. Wayne Crump, D-Potosi, and Rep. Delbert Scott, R-Lowry City, recently raised controversy when they used official letterhead to poll lobbyists about Prop. B. Crump said the mailing was rigorously examined and found to have not been supported by state funds.

"I'm concerned about preserving mining interests in my district," said bill sponsor Rep. Wayne Crump, D-Potosi. "The federal government usually prohibits those activities on their lands."
